New Delhi : Two days back news of Cyrus Mistry’s ouster from Tata Sons took business industry by storm. Media channels started digging it with some even giving their expert analysis to it. Hold On! Are we doing justice to what Tata Sons has decided to do?

Everything happens for a reason. First Cyrus Mistry was appointed as the chairman of Tata Sons and now he has been removed from the company. Well, I don’t see a big deal in it; it's normal. Staff changes in every company and that too at every level.

Yes, I do agree to the fact that there must be a strong reason behind such a crucial call. But, then again it’s a company’s personal matter. Why should they even leak a single bit of it to the media or public.

Cyrus Mistry is definitely one of the greatest in the industry, but that doesn’t mean he is best of Tata Sons. May be he was doing everything great but that didn’t match Tata Sons ideology and the company thought to replace him with a better option.

The decision was not taken by an individual, a proper board meeting was held in Mumbai before Tata Sons asked Mistry to pack his bags.

Yes, I do have full sympathy with Mr Mistry and I also believe that Tata Sons is not answerable to media or public for their decisions.

Meanwhile, CEO Ratan Tata, who has become interim chairman for four months, appointed Ralf Speth, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, and N. Chandrasekaran, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy as directors in the company.

While interacting with the CEOs of group, Ratan Tata said, “We will continue to take those steps that are required, If there is any change, they will be discussed with you."

The positive from it

Cyrus Mistry is currently not working. So, businesses out in the market you have a golden opportunity to hire a pro and take your company to a new height. Are you listening?
