Indian Railways-Ola tie up: Now, book a cab from IRCTC app
New Delhi : Indian Railways has made a tie up with online cab service OLA to make travelling easier for the passengers. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) announced its partnership with cab-hailing app, Ola.
As per the tie up, the passengers will be able to book themselves a cab via IRCTC Rail Connect app and also through its website.
The passengers will get an access to book from the various options like Micro, Mini, Auto and Share; but, no additional discount coupon will work on it. The passengers will be allowed to book a cab seven days before their actual arrival till the final time of arrival.
There will be Ola's self-serving kiosks at IRCTC outlets as well from where commuters can book their cabs.
The move has been taken to ensure a smoother travel experience for the passenger as well as cut queues for the prepaid taxis.
An IRCTC spokesperson said that the partnership will provide first-and-last-mile connectivity to commuters. "The ease of travel of our commuters is of prime importance to us and we believe that this association will help in delivering unparalleled convenience to the users on our platform, fostering and strengthening the culture of Digital India," he said.
