New Delhi : Some of the media reports recently claimed that the Indian spice company, MDH is not safe to eat as it contains cancer-causing ingredients. In the latest, the company has strongly refuted the allegations of pesticide contamination following reports from food safety regulators in Hong Kong and Singapore.

It only started when the Centre for Food Safety (CFS) in Hong Kong detected ethylene oxide in various pre-packaged spice products from MDH and another Indian brand, Everest.

While a warning has been issued against the sale and purchase of MDH and Everest masalas; The former company claims that they have not been approached by any food safety authorities in either Hong Kong or Singapore after the findings.

As quoted in a media report, MDH has reassured that they do not use ethylene oxide in any stage of spice production The company also claimed that the products are strictly following health and safety standards, both in India and abroad.
