New Delhi : The Online registrations for the CBSE UGC NET 2018 for july examination has statrted from today, March 6.Interested and eligible candidates can apply for CBSE UGC NET Exam 2018 on the official website, cbsenet.nic.in.

The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor.

The last date of online application for CBSE UGC exam 2018 is April 5, 2018 and The UGC Net exam is scheduled to be held on July 8 for 84 different subjects across the country. Before submission of the online Application Form, the candidate should read this notification carefully.

Here are some Important points  before filling UGC July 2018 Online Application Form:

1. Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).

2. Signature in JPG format of minimum 4kb to 30 kb. The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).

3. Debit Card/Credit Card to pay the fee online or generate an e-challan (payable at Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank).

4. All Educational certificates and important documents

Age limit & relaxation:

Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 30 years as on 01.07.2018. A relaxation up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC, SC/ST/PwD/Transgender categories and to women applicants. 

Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Examination fee and mode of payment:

The candidates may pay the examination fee either by credit/ debit card or through echallan generated during the online filling of the application form. Here are the fee category-wise structure.

For General category - 1000/.

For Other Backward Classes (OBC)- 500/.

For SC/ST/PwD/Transgender- 250/.

In case the examination fee is paid through credit/debit card the additional processing charges as following will also be debited from the credit/debit card of the candidate.

Credit card: - 1.20% of the examination fee plus the service tax as applicable

Debit Card: - 0.75% of examination fee plus the service tax as applicable

Education Qualifications for CBSE UGC NET Exam 2018

Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc.are eligible for this Test.

The Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/ persons with disability(PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.

About CBSE UGC NET 2018 results

The result of the UGC-NET to be held on 08th July, 2018 will be made available on the websites: cbsenet.nic.in as and when it is declared. The candidate will not be individually intimated about their result. 

Scheme and Date of test:

The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on 08th July, 2018 (SUNDAY) in two separate sessions as under

Paper-I : shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. Duration (1 Hour (09:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.) IST)

Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.Duration (2 Hours (11:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M.) IST)

2. Click on the relevant link

3. Enter your necessary details

4. After submitting the same, the application procedure will be completed

5. Take a printout for future reference
