Akshaye Khanna returns! But, where was he for so long?

New Delhi : Akshaye Khanna is all set to make a comeback on silver screens and he is all excited. Dil Chahta Hai star was dealing with some personal problems which forced him to stay away from movies.

The actor, who last appeared in 2012 comedy Gali Gali Chor Hai, will be now seen in action-adventure Dishoom, which co-stars John Abraham and Varun Dhawan.

"I had some personal issues which I had to sort out so, I couldn't work for a while. I am thrilled to be back with this film (Dishoom) and a couple of more films this year," he told reporters.

He is making a comeback in negative role as Wagha, who abducts India's top performing batsman Viraj right before India- Pakistan final match.

As per actor this one line narration had so much kick that he agreed to do the film without even giving it a second thought.

"For me, it was just one line of the film which was so fresh. 36 hours before India-Pakistan semi-final match, a major Indian cricketer gets kidnapped. Just that one liner is so interesting and fresh," he said at an event to launch the trailer of Dishoom. "And the fact that I kidnap him makes it nicer. That's the reason I was interested in the film," he added.

Dishoom will be released in India on July 29, also features Jacqueline Fernandez.
