Bored of winking now, says Priya Prakash Varrier
New Delhi : All set to make a debut with Oru Adaar Love, Priya Prakash Varrier never thought that her wink will get so popular that will make her an overnight online sensation.
From being nothing to have turned into a celebrity, she says, “everything feels like a dream.” She currently enjoys a massive 6.4 million followers on Instagram. Last year, she was “the most-searched personality in India on Google.”
In one of her recent interviews, Priya Prakash Varrier said though she enjoys the new fame, sometimes she gets bored of winking. A news daily quoted her saying, "though I am enjoying this new-found fame, I never thought a wink would become such a big deal. Till this date, I don’t know how it went viral. It was a tiny video, after all. In fact, that was ‘okayed’ in the first take. The director asked me to give some cute expressions, and I went with the flow. I wonder what people saw in that wink that they admired so much. Even today, wherever I go, they ask me to wink. I don’t get irritated, but feel bored. I think I would have winked at least 200 times on request."
The Kerala-based actor is all set to make her film debut with Oru Adaar Love, which is getting released next month.
