Raabta won the copyright infringment case against Magadheera

New Delhi : Raabta which will be hitting the theaters was landed in some trouble. But it has come out clean and will release on its scheduled date.

Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Raabta was earlier in controversy. It was reported that ‘Magadheera” producer Allu Arvind filed a case that Raabta makers had used a similar plot, and he filed and a case of copyright infringement against the film.

Magadheera was a reincarnation based theme; at the same time, Raabta is a romantic thriller which also has reincarnation theme. So the dispute was all about the same theme.

Magadheera, directed by S S Rajamouli featured Kajal Aggarwal and Ram Charan, while Raabta, directed by Dinesh Vijan has Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Director of Raabta on this matter told PTI,"There is no out of court settlement. They were misguided. The day before yesterday they presented their case and yesterday we presented our case and our counsel argued that both the films are not similar. This morning they withdrew the case," Dinesh Vijan, director of 'Raabta”.

Director of Magadheera said, "...both the parties representing Magadheera and Raabta have settled the ongoing legal dispute amicably outside the court. Hence, Geetha Arts has officially withdrawn the case,"
