New Delhi : Taapsee Pannu is one of those actresses who does not feel awkward in talking about topics which most people feel shy to discuss. In a recent media interaction, she talked about the periods which every woman face.

At an event to promote hygiene, she said, "Even in a regular middle-class household in Mumbai and Delhi, periods are discussed using furtive gestures and awkward eye contact. Having periods is common to Meghan Markle, me and every other woman in the world. With great power comes great responsibility, and if people like her contribute and support this kind of initiative, it widens its reach, as she is in a power position."

"A lot of health hazards are not addressed because people don't talk about it. To end up 'hushing the topic and getting awkward in the class' she said further, asserting that the awkwardness needs to be cut off in order to begin with."

On the work front, Taapsee Pannu will be seen next in upcoming movie Mission Mangal; the trailer for the film was recently released and people have been praising it since then.
