Kedar Joshi's Suman Entertainment partners with Bodhitree Multimedia for the launch of Dharamveer Media City
New Delhi : Producer Kedar Joshi has been synonymous with entertainment in the Marathi industry. He has been contributing immensely to taking the Marathi film industry a notch higher by bringing musical melodies under his record label Suman Entertainment Music. While Kedar has been consistently working towards bringing new-age artists to the forefront, he has now launched his dream project Dharamveer Media City.
Before you start assuming, we tell you that it is not a film or series. It is a one-of-a-kind media city built on a hub and spoke model spread across an area of more than 1000 acres around the Thane district. The media city is a joint venture between Kedar's production house Suman Entertainment and Bodhitree Multimedia.
As per the sources, the work of the media city shall be completed in five phases. Not just films and music, but Dharamveer Media City goes beyond entertainment with a vision to bring tourism, skill development and different adventure activities under the massive infrastructure. Other than this, the media city shall have multiple facilities provided to creative artists and professionals required in the process of filmmaking.
Right from pre-production to post-production and colour grading to top-notch VFX facilities, Dharamveer Media City aims to bring everything under one roof. Well, this will surely attract many Bollywood and Hollywood directors to make their films in India. It is further reported that the joint venture will have other ancillary activities and bring a revenue of more than Rs 10,000 crores. Well, that's a whopping amount and indeed a revolution in the Indian regional film industry.
With Dharamveer Media City, more than 1,00,000 employment opportunities will be created in the media and entertainment space. It is huge news for creative artists to rejoice as we have never witnessed such a mega project by Kedar Joshi in the past. Last year, the news broke out about the producer collaborating with Bodhitree Multimedia to explore different forms of content.
It seems that the strategic partnership will have a separate vertical at Dharamveer Media City to produce web series, TV shows and short films. When we tried reaching Kedar Joshi to know about the development, he was unavailable to comment.
