Legendary singer Prafulla Kar: All you must know about him

Odisha : Legendary singer Prafulla Kar has passed away on Sunday night after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 83 years old.
He was a famous Odia musician, singer, lyricist, writer and columnist. Prafulla Kar was awarded with Padma Shri (fourth highest civilian award) in 2015 by the Government of India for his contribution to the Odia culture and music.
Birth date and place
Mr Kar was born on February 16, 1939 into a musician family in Puri, Bengal Presidency. His father is Baidyanath Kar and mother is Susila Kar. He was raised by his grandfather Bhagaban Misra and grandmother Apanna Devi after his father lost his life in the early age.
Work Life
Prafulla Kar has worked as music director and often as singer in 70 Oriya Films (Released and unreleased) as well as in 4 Bangla films.
