New Delhi : The Lok Sabha election 2019 to be held in May will decide the fate of India and Indians. If you want to help your leader win the seat, then you must contribute your vote too. For this, you need to have a voter ID card.
If you do not have then you should immediately. There are still some days left for election and you can apply for voter ID card online.
Who can apply Voter ID card online
Every Indian citizen whose age is 18 years old, can apply for voter ID.
Documents required for applying for Voter ID card
- A passport size photograph.
- Birth Certificate such as valid as proof, mark sheet, passport, PAN card, driving license or Aadhar Card.
- Passport like valid address proof, driving license, electricity bill, rent agreement etc.
- Edge Declaration Form will also be provided if it is over 21 years of age.
How to apply Voter ID card
Step 1: Click the official website of National Voters Services Portal nvsp.in.
Step 2: Now click on 'Form 6'.
Step 3: On the next page you will have to fill up the entire personal and resident information.
Step 4: Must now upload the necessary documents.
Step 5: After entering the fixation, insert the CAPTCHA code. The process will be completed after clicking the 'Submit' button.
How to check application states of voter ID card online
After the application form is processed, you will get a reference ID. Through this, you can track the status of your application online only. To check the states, go to nvsp.in.
The 'Track application status' link will appear on the home page. Click here to enter the reference ID and click on track status. You will be shown on the application states screen.
