New : Most of us are aware about the demand, supply and price graph, as the demand increases and supply decreases, the price increases. Cut to Diwali festival, which is right around the corner. The airfares are skyrocketing in some of the popular routes where demand for tickets has increased significantly.

For instance, the airfare for direct flight from Ahmedabad to Kochi is now costing at around Rs 57,000 per person. While a ticket to Bagdogra, which connects flights to North Eastern part of India, are costing around Rs 45000 per person.

Flight rates in tier 1,2,3 tier cities have also skyrocketed. The Delhi-Srinagar route, which is normally priced at around ₹3500 is currently available for booking at more than rupees 7000 for November, 10 to 16. 2023 Similarly, if we talk about Delhi-Ahmedabad route, the prices have surged from Rs 3000 to Rs 6000 over the same time.

It must be noted that if we talk about Ahmedabad, the prices have also increased because the final World Cup game has been scheduled on November 19, this is another reason why most of the people would be travelling to the place during that time.

The price surge is not limited to Tier 1 cities, it has also increased for Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities by up to 15%.
