New Delhi : The blackbuck poaching case has again pushed Salman Khan behind bars. The Bollywood actor is accused of killing two blackbucks in Kankani, way back in 1998 during his film shooting. Bhaijaan along with other actors have arrived in Jodhpur on Wednesday where a court is scheduled to pronounce its verdict in a 1998 poaching case. Final hearing of the case was completed in the trial court on March 28, after which Chief Judicial Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri had kept the judgment for today.

During the shooting of the film, Salman Khan with his co-stars went on an alleged hunting activity in the nearby forest and was accused of killing two blackbucks in Kankani in the prevailing night of October 1-2, 1998. The killings angered the Bishnoi community, who protect wildlife with care and enthusiasm. They filed a complaint against the actors and a local who were involved in the shooting the animals. He was also charged under Arms Act for keeping an arm with an expired licence.

Salman Khan including Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam, will be present in the court for the verdict to be announced.

Salman Khan has been accused under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and the other actors have been charged under Section 51 read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code. It is likely that Salman will get a maximum punishment of six years under Section 51

All the actors are worried about the court verdict and trying to avoid the flow of questions from media around. On Wednesday, when Saif Ali Khan was asked by a media person, he got annoyed and broke at his driver, asking him to put the window up and reverse the car or he will get slapped. A video footage recorded the scene in which Saif is heard telling his driver "Sheehsa upar karo aur reverse kar lo varna padegi ek.” For now, the video has gone viral
