New Delhi : 308 people have died and 9,152 people have been found infected with the coronavirus in India, said Health Ministry on Monday. India registered around 35 deaths due to COVID 19 infection in last 24 hours.

The Council of Ministers including PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Nirmala Sitharaman will be resuming their work from today.

Meanwhile, the government has announced its plan of colour coding the nation on the basis of severity of attention needed in the particular region for coronavirus. Areas will be marked red with over 15 positive cases, orange for those below that threshold and green for districts that have not reported any infection.

With this 50 per cent of the nation will be marked green where basic work will resume, meanwhile rest half country will be either red or orange, meaning restrictions will continue in these areas.

Recently, PM Narendra Modi held a video conference with the Chief Ministers of the states and hinted that the lockdown will be extended for two more weeks, but there will be some relaxations in certain areas and cases to ensure the survival of the economy as well.

States that have the most coronavirus cases are Maharashtra (1,985), Delhi (1,154), Tamil Nadu (1,075), Rajasthan (804) and Madhya Pradesh (532) ad Gujarat (516).

More than 9000 coronavirus cases have been registered in India and over 300 people have lost their lives.
