"Dirty Politics": Arvind Kejriwal on Manish Sisodia's arrest in liquor scam case
New Delhi : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal shared his reaction over the arrest of his Deputy Manish Sisodia in an alleged Delhi Liquor Policy Scam Case. He termed the arrest as "Dirty Politics" and called Manish Sisodia "innocent".
"Manish is innocent. His arrest is dirty politics. There is a lot of anger among the people due to the arrest of Manish. Everyone is watching. People are understanding everything. People will respond to this. This will boost our spirits further. Our struggle will get stronger," CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted.
He also mentioned that people will give the answer for this arrest. However, this will only boost their spirits and help them in move forward.
Manish Sisodia was arrested on Sunday by CBI in an alleged Delhi liquor policy scam after a questioning of around eight hours. He will be presented in Rouse Avenue Court on Monday where CBI will be seeking a custodial remand of around two weeks.
Meanwhile, a report has claimed that CBI will be presenting the Whatsapp chat as a proof of disparity amid Manish Sisodia's statements and reality. It has been learned that Mr Sisodia had made a deal in advance with many liquor dealers. CBI has also alleged that Manish Sisodia has destroyed some of the evidences.
