Punjab : Punjab authorities have announced an extension in the suspension of mobile Internet services till March 21 noon as they continue their search for Pro Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh on the 3rd day. The development came hours after Amritpal Singh's uncle and driver surrendered before the Punjab police on Sunday night.

"All mobile internet services, all SMS services (except banking and mobile recharge) and all dongle services on mobile networks except voice call in the territorial jurisdiction of Punjab will remain suspended till March 21 noon."

The mobile Internet and SMS services have been suspended in Punjab since Monday as the Punjab police launched an operation to arrest Amritpal Singh and Waris Punjab Chief, who are still on the run.

The police have been claiming that Amritpal Singh is still on the run. Meanwhile, his lawyer has claimed that the Pro Khalistan leader has been arrested by the police at Shahkot police station. The lawyer has also alleged that police wants to have a fake encounter and kill the Pro Khalistani leader. Punjab police have refunded all the claims made by the lawyer.

Amid all this fuss, the situation remains tense in the state.
