Inhuman and beyond cruelty: Virat Kohli on Hathras gangrape

Lucknow : Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Tuesday hoped that the justice will be delivered in the Hathras gangrape, the victim died after succumbing to her injuries. The incident "goes beyond cruelty", said Virat.

Four men from her village had brutally gangraped her on September 14; her tongue was chopped off and she had suffered several fractures. She was brought to Delhi after her health deteriorated drastically, but could not survive.

"What happened in #Hathras is inhumane and goes beyond cruelty. Hope the culprits of this heinous crime will be brought to justice. #JusticeForManishaValmiki," Kohli, who is in the UAE for the ongoing IPL, tweeted.



The gangrape and the victim’s death has sparked outrage and protests. All the four men alleged to have committed the crime have been arrested.
