Historic move! INS Vikramaditya first warship to have ATM onboard

New Delhi : India's biggest aircraft carrier ship - INS Vikramaditya – is all set to create history by becoming the first ever warship with a working ATM machine on board.

The ATM machine that belongs to State Bank of India will be made functional with the help of satellites and the services will start from Saturday evening.

The move has been taken to ease problems of navy personnel on board, who sometimes find it difficult to locate an ATM machine while sailing through ports from one place to another.

Nearly, 1500-2000 personnel are on board while the ship sails on work.

INS Vikramaditya is a modified Kiev-class aircraft carrier which entered into service with the Indian Navy in 2013. She was commissioned on 16 November 2013 at a ceremony held at Severodvinsk, Russia.
