Janta Curfew: All you need to know about India's attempt against coronavirus
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday evening addressed the nation and talked about his ideas by which India can succeed over the expanding coronavirus.
While he talked about the measures and precautions during the time of emergency, he also requested people's contribution on March 22, declaring the day as Janta curfew.
What is Janta Curfew?
India's premier explained that there was a time when people used to exercise blackouts to fight against anything and now when India is facing a crisis, it is time to adapt the same process with the name Janta curfew. It is an act for the people, by the people in which people impose a curfew on them and do not step out of their house.
When will India impose Janta Curfew?
PM Modi asked Indians to exercise Janta Curfew on Sunday (March 22) from 7 AM to 9 PM. He specifically mentioned that while it will be experienced for one day, minors and senior citizens should restrict themselves from stepping out for next few weeks.
How to make Janta Curfew special?
While people of India would be exercising the Janta curfew, PM Modi said each and every Indian must stand on their door, window or balcony and clap for the emergency workers for their services to keep India healthy.
