Bengaluru : Karnataka has issued a fresh set of guidelines amid rising number of coronavirus cases in the state. Among the new rules, all people residing in a building will have to take the mandatory COVID test if more than 15 people are infected in the building.

The new guidelines have also mentioned that there will be no need to seal the schools or apartment if cases of coronavirus are found. Only public places like sports lounge, swimming pool and office of the apartments will be closed.

Meanwhile, the government is also planning to impose a fine on people who do not wear masks in public. During the second wave, there was a fine of Rs 250 on people for not wearing masks in public.

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on Covid-19 has made this recommendation to contain the possible pandemic situation in the state.
