Mundka building fire: Death toll reaches 27, several others injured

New Delhi : At least 27 people lost their lives in a massive fire that broke out in a three-storey commercial building near Mundka metro station in Delhi. More than 40 people were also injured in the incident.

Fire tenders and medical staff was rushed to the spot to take control of the situation. Around 50 people were rescued till the time the article was being written.

According to reports, the police have arrested the owners of the building, who used to give the building on rent to different companies. As per CCTV footage and preliminary investigations, the fire started from the first floor of the building.

However, reason for fire is still not known.

Some people were also reported to have jumped off the building to save their lives.
