Agra : Union Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma has come up with a controversial suggestion for foreign tourists in the holy places of India. He suggested that foreign women tourists should ditch 'skirts' and 'short' dresses at night in Agra and should not move alone at night.

# He suggested that “for their safety, foreign women tourists should not wear short dresses and skirts.”
# The suggestion would be a part of advisory and not a forced rule as Indian culture is different from Western.
# Mr. Sharma clarified that he was not calling western culture bad but only pointing out the differences between the two cultures.
# He also suggested tourists must take a picture of cab or transport service they are using so that it can be used in case of unfortunate events.
