New Delhi : IAS husband and wife have been transferred from Delhi after they took their dog out on a walk at Thyagaraj Stadium. IAS Sanjeev Khirwar and his wife have been transferred to Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh respectively.

A coach had recently raised objections; he claimed that earlier he used to practice in the stadium at around 8:00-8:30 PM but now he is asked to vacate the stadium at 7:00 PM due to his walk. This has hampered his practice session.

Meanwhile, Kiran Bedi has raised questions on the transfer, saying why the two have been transferred and not sent on the leave till the matter is under investigation.

"IF the incident of dog walk in the stadium by this IAS is found correct, then why being sent to another UT Why not he proceed on leave pending the decision to assess whether he is fit to continue in the service. All India Civil Services are serious positions anywhere," Kiran Bedi tweeted.

IAS officer Sanjeev Khirwar has rejected the accusation and accepted that he used to take his dog there for walk but he never disrupted the practice of athletes at Thyagaraj stadium.
