Terrorist attack in Sopore: 2 Army personnel martyred, 2 civilians dead
Kashmir : Two Army men were martyred and two civilians were killed in a terrorist attack in Kashmir's Sopore district. The Kashmir IG has said that the attack was carried out by Lashkar-e-Taiba.
"Two policemen and two civilians lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Sopore. Two other police personnel are injured. Lashkar-e-Taiba is behind this attack," Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar told news agency ANI.
According to the police, the terrorists hurled a grenade at a police gathering in Sopore market.
It has been learned that the police officials were doing COVID-19 related duties when the attack was carried out in a cowardly manner.
"Four policemen and 3 civilians were also injured in this attack which took place in the main market of Sopore town," the police said.
The injured personnel have been taken to the nearby hospitals. And the injured army men have been taken to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital.
