Watch: Moving coaches of engineless Ahmedabad-Puri Express

New Delhi : A video of moving coaches of driverless Ahmedabad-Puri Express has been shared by the news agency ANI.

In the video, the train can be seen passing by a station with passengers on board. People on the platform can be seen shouting, signalling passengers to pull the emergency brakes/chain of the coaches. (SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO)

Passengers fail to understand the call and train crosses the station at a decent speed.

Indian Railways has issued a statement in which they have mentioned that the accident happened because officials forgot to apply skid-brakes on coaches before detaching the engine.

A total of seven railway officials have been suspended with an inquiry ordered in the matter.

Luckily, no casualty has been reported in the incident that kept the life of over 1000 passengers on board in 22 coaches of Ahmedabad-Puri Express.
