You can burn me: Pragya Thakur dares Congress MLA

New Delhi : One day after a Congress MLA threatened Bhopal MP Pragya Thakur of burning her alive if she dares to enter the state, she replied by saying, "Congress has experience in burning Sikhs alive during 1984."

Her response was on the lines of anti-Sikh riots which were happened in 1984 in Delhi after the assassination of late former prime minister Indira Gandhi.

The Congress MLA's threat was issued a day after Pragya Thakur allegedly referred Nathuram Godse, the assassinator of Mahatma Gandhi, as 'a patriot' during her speech over the SPG amendment bill. She later apologized twice in the Parliament for her remarks.

Congress MLA Govardhan Dangi on Friday had said. "If Pragya Thakur sets foot here, we won't burn her effigy, we will instead burn her."

In another attack, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tagged her as 'a terrorist' in a tweet after her controversial remark. Demanding a roll back, BJP protested against him, but Rahul refused to take his words back and claimed that he is ready to face the consequences.

Responding to both, Pragya Thakur said, "Rahul Gandhi termed (me) terrorist and his MLA Govardhan Dangi will burn me. So, I am reaching Biaora at his residence in Multanpura at 4 pm on December 8, 2019. Burn me."
