Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on demonetisation

New Delhi : In another attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to demonetise Indian currency, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed that it is now clear that the scheme is a scam to benefit millionaires of the country.

In one of his tweets on Wednesday morning he claimed that it is now clear that demonetisation has been done to fill up banks and waive off loans of rich people.

He also raised doubts over decision of allowing Big Bazaar to give Rs 2000 to people.

On November 8, PM Narendra Modi had announced that Indian currency of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 will no longer be used as legal tenders. Though, the government gave some leverage to use it in government run places like hospitals, chemists, Railway stations and petrol pumps.
