New Delhi : Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday added more drama to power tussle in the party by appointing Rajya Sabha member Amar Singh as party's general secretary.

The move can be considered as a clear warning to his son Akhilesh Kumar that Party runs on father’s command.

Two days back Akhilesh Yadav had allued Amar Singh saying outsiders are interfering in personal matters of the party.

Amar's rapid elevation in the party from which he was expelled six years ago is seen as a major victory for the “Mulayamwadi“ faction over the “Akhileshwadis“.
