Baba Ka Dhaba owner Kanta Prasad attempts suicide, admitted to Safdarjung hospital

New Delhi : Baba Ka Dhaba owner Kanta Prasad has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital after he allegedly attempted suicide, said Police.

The Police added that they received a PCR call on Thursday night that a man has been admitted after he allegedly attempted suicide.

“Police rushed to the spot and found that he is Kanta Prasad. He is currently undergoing treatment. His wife informed the police that he had been depressed for the last few days,” a senior police officer informed.

His wife also mentioned that his husband was under extreme mental depression after he closed down his new restaurant and returned to roadside stall.

Last year, Prasad had lodged an FIR of cheating against YouTuber Gaurav Wasan for allegedly misappropriating money that was raised to help him and his wife.

The couple had rose to overnight fame after a video shot by Gaurav Wasan went viral on the social media. Several people from across the nation came to help the poor couple in making a living out of their non-performing eatery after lockdown.
