100-km running event to attempt an international world record

New Delhi : We all know running and walking is good for health, but we must know that if it becomes your passion it can even get you a badge of a world record owner. In an attempt to get one of such tags, The Flag Runners Bhatinda virtually organized a special 100-km run.

Captain Vimal Pal took the charge and challenged his group members to attempt it, interestingly six members from CRC (Crossings Runners Club) accepted the challenge and prepared to go for it on Saturday.

The six members, who prefer to be called "Saturday Strugglers", all set for the task, went for it and did it in less than 75% per cent cut off time. Let's find out more about these six guys:

A brief intro of team members is as follows:

Anurag Sharma: Veteran Runner and cyclist, Founder of Kliento Technologies completed his 100 KMs in 11H24M.

Rabinder Singh(Rabbi): A retired decorated Navy officer, now a Banker completed his 100KMs in 11H32M

Ranjan Swain: An entrepreneur and known face in Delhi NCR textile industry completed his 100KMs in 11H37M

Prashant Shukla: A Project Manager in UK-based MNC completed is 100K in 12H11Ms

Gaurav Lamba: Undoubtedly fastest runner of Crossing Republik, an IT professional completed his 100K in 13H05M

Himanshu Sharma: Strongest from the heart and a sales manager in a leading travel company completed his 100K in 14H21Ms

Why they call themselves "Saturday Strugglers"?

In a workaholic lifestyle what most people get is the weekend and these 6 guys thought of taking out Saturday from their lives and dedicate it to fitness, giving birth to the title "Saturday Strugglers". The successful 100-km run result was 6/6 (perfect vision) due to their discipline, dedication, and immaculate training plan.

Other than this particular group there was one another man Prateem Goon, another fitness enthusiast, who rode over 125-km on the same day.



One thing that pandemic has done well for sure is making people more inclined towards fitness and health-related sports event. The event was managed by Crossing Runners Club other runners also Gr. Noida Cycling Club and Crossings Cycling Club also joined hands to make the event successful.
