New Delhi : The Federation of Indian Publishers is organizing Delhi Book Fair at pragatiE platform in sponsorship with Karadi Path Education Company on 30th & 31st October 2020. The 26th edition of Delhi Book Fair will be co-organized with Capexil, the premier export council by India’s Ministry of Commerce.

The event is set to start at 10 AM on 30th October 2020, and will be graced by the virtual presence of Shri Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', Honorable Education Minister, Government of India. Mr. Jay Panda, the national vice president of BJP will also grace the occasion as a special guest.

Dr. Pokhriyal lauded the efforts of FIP and PragatiE in organising 26th Delhi Book Fair even during time of Corona . He said,  “This event is taking place at a time when the whole nation is fighting through this pandemic, even during these tough situations FIP has organised a book fair so that people can be at the comfort at their home and still attend the event and be closer to books, that makes me very happy!”

While exhibitions all around the world are closing or getting postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the federation has decided to roll out this year’s book fest virtually. The Virtual Delhi Book Fair eliminates any geographical and travel barriers for both the exhibitors and the visitors and hence will be hosted on a global scale. 100+ exhibitors, 5000+ titles, 2 Lac+ visitors will make it one of the largest virtual events in India and one of the largest book fairs in the world. Visitors will be able to buy their favorite books at deep discounts.

An online literature festival ‘PragatiE Vichaar’ is also planned on topics of interest to the book publishing community as well as various social issues. Visitors will get an opportunity to listen to and interact with thinkers and authors from across the spectrum on aspects that matter.

Adding an element of fun, and excitement for children and adults alike, our TOON partners, Cartoon Network and POGO are coming up with engaging contests. With no age bar, visitors can take a trip to the toon town and win some amazing goodies.

40th FIP awards for excellence in book production will also be held on the sidelines of the book fair. These awards are normally announced at the Delhi Book Fair only.
