New Delhi : The auction for Women Premier League was recently held in Mumbai with teams bidding huge amounts on the players to make their teams stronger. A day after Royal Challengers Bangalore announced that Sania Mirza will be joining the squad as the mentor.

The development is overwhelming for all Sania Mirza fans who were eagerly waiting to know what will be Sania Mirza's future course after she retires from Tennis in the coming days. Sania Mirza's love for cricket is no hidden secret as she has been seen participating in many sporting events and now when she officially become the part of a sporting tournament, it will be interesting to see how she will motivate the women team.

Talking about it Sania Mirza said, "My next job once I retire is to help young women believe that sports can be the first career choices for them." 

She also talked about how her mentorship will help the team considering she is a tennis champion and will be mentoring the cricket team. Sania mentioned that be it any sports, it is all about embracing the pressure situation and with her mentorship she would try to guide the girls to tackle the pressure situation in the game.

Royal Challenger Bangalore made an official announcement on Twitter about taking Sania Mirza on board. The official twitter handle wrote: " While our coaching staff handle the cricket side of things, we couldn’t think of anyone better to guide our women cricketers about excelling under pressure. Join us in welcoming the mentor of our women's team, a champion athlete and a trailblazer! Namaskara, Sania Mirza!"

The Indian tennis veteran recently made it to the final of the Australian Open mixed doubles with Rohan Bopanna.
