New Delhi : Indian Space Research Organisation ( ISRO) is set to propel Aditya L1 to a higher orbit, fourth maneuver of the Earth. The space organisation is targeting September 15, 2023 as the date for the same.

As per known information, once the process is completed successfully, Aditya L1 will aim for its final destination - Lagrange point 1.

The ambitious Aditya L1 mission aims to study the Sun and its impact on Earth environment.

The spacecraft is set to enter a halo orbit around the L1 point of the Sun-Earth system, positioned approximately 1.5 million km away from Earth. This exceptional location enables uninterrupted monitoring of the Sun, free from any eclipses or obstacles.

The L1 point, originally identified by the mathematician Joseph Louis Lagrange, holds significant importance among the Lagrangian points for solar observations.

A satellite once placed within a halo orbit around the L1 point can maintain an uninterrupted view of the Sun, delivering real-time valuable data about solar activities and their impact on space weather.
