14 rebel Congress lawmakers, responsible for bringing down the coalition government in Karnataka, have been disqualified from the party on Tuesday.

The founder of popular eatery Café Coffee Day, VG Siddhartha, has gone missing from Mangaluru in Karnataka, said police. According to a media report, he was last seen near Netravati river in the coastal town.

"I have decided to relieve myself from this office...I have decided to resign," said Ramesh Kumar before handing over his resignation letter to the Deputy Speaker Krishna Reddy.

Amid political turmoil in Karnataka politics, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy claimed that he would happily quit from his post if the state is suffering due to any of his action.
