New Delhi : Gujarat Titans' pacer Yash Dayal has officially released an statement over his comments made via a communal post on social media, that was hugely criticized by the netizens.

Yash Dayal had posted a story on his social media profile talking about Love Jihad. However, in the second story there was an apology from him in the same matter. Now, the pacer has issued an official statement in which he has claimed that his account was hacked and the posts were not made by him.

Dayal also mentioned that he respects all communities and religions and the stories do not reflect his true belief.

"Dear All, there were two stories posted on my Insta handle today – both of which weren’t done by me. I have reported the matter to authorities as I believe my account is being accessed by someone else and used for posting.

"I am trying to regain full control of my Instagram account. I respect all communities and the picture shared today does not reveal my true beliefs. Thank You, Yash Dayal," the 25-year old said in an official statement.

Gujarat Titans' Yash Dayal made headlines after Kolkata Knight Riders' Rinku Singh smashed five consecutive sixes in his over to win the game for his side. Dayal played 5 matches in IPL 2023 and took 2 wickets.
