New Delhi : Afghanistan played an impressive game against Pakistan to secure the win in the second game and also take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3 match series. This is the first time in history when Afghanistan has won a series against a Top 6 ranked ICC team.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first in the second game but the inexperienced top order again disappointed and collapsed in front of Afghanistan's bowling attack. It was Imad Wasim's 64 run on 57 balls and Captain Shadab Khan’s 32 runs that saved a little respect for Pakistan with the score of 130 for the loss of 6 wicket. Rahmanullah Gurbaz (44) and Ibrahim Zadran (38) led Afghanistan’s chase before Najibullah Zadran scored a rapid unbeaten 23 and Mohammad Nabi was 14 not out to guide their team to 133-3 with a ball to spare.

Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan set that it is a great honour and pleasure to lead a wonderful team like Afghanistan. He also mentioned that it was a great effort with the ball and then the Nabi and Najib who took the game to victory in the last overs.

Afghanistan needed 22 runs in the last 2 overs. Najibullah and Nabi struck a 6 each in the Naseem Shah’s penultimate over, which went to 17, effectively the hopes of victory for Pakistan diminished after that.

Later, Afghanistan managed to win the game with one ball remaining and create history. Talking about Pakistan, in the absence of Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan, Pakistan has been struggling against the pace and spin of Pakistan on the slow wicket like Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The series loss against Afghanistan is definitely a serious dent on Pakistan’s image where they are considered as one of the brutal teams when comes to T20I.
