Delhi : When Apple introduced Siri in 2011, there was little understanding of the idea of a virtual assistant on a smartphone. At the time, Siri was a novel idea, and people were very interested in the virtual voice assistant since it could play music, announce incoming calls, crack jokes, and do other things. In 2014, Amazon unveiled Alexa, a voice assistant similar to Siri.

Similar to how the world was watching Siri and Alexa a decade ago, generative artificial intelligence is gaining popularity today. With their AI chatbots like Bing and Bard, Microsoft and Google have already hopped on the bandwagon, but Apple hasn't yet shown any generative AI models. This, however, may alter shortly. Apple's US careers at least suggest as much.
