Apple iOS 13.4 brings more troubles than features to its users

New Delhi : iPhone users upgraded their devices to the all-new Apple iOS 13.4 in rush, credit to a wide range of new features being offered with it; but unfortunately, the update has become more of a problem to its users.

Broken Encryption with VPN

Proton, a popular VPN service, has claimed that Apple iOS 13.4 contains a security vulnerability under which your data in the device is not prevented when it is under operation of VPN service. Proton explains that iOS 13.4 fails to close existing unsecured connections when your VPN is started and "some are long-lasting and can remain open for minutes to hours outside the VPN tunnel."

"Neither ProtonVPN nor any other VPN service can provide a workaround for this issue because iOS does not permit a VPN app to kill existing network connections," Proton explains. The company has suggested that start your VPN, and turn AirPlane mode on and off to kill active connections outside the VPN but this only works for Appleā€™s Always-on VPN since it requires device management, to which no third-party VPNs have access.

A reports in Forbes also mentioned that the people were experiencing difficulties with the Cellular Data, Reminder, Navigation And Keyboard.

With so many issues and complaints already shared on the social media platforms, it is likely that the Apple will soon release iOS 13.4.1 to fix them. It is advised that if you have not upgraded your device then don't do it till the new update is released.
