Delhi : Apple is developing artificial intelligence (AI) products that are comparable to OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Bard. This news caused Apple's stock to rise as much as 2% to a record high. The maker of the iPhone has developed its own framework, called as "Ajax," to develop long language models (LLMs), and is also testing a chatbot that some engineers refer to as "Apple GPT."

Apple has so far refrained from making any significant AI-related steps and even avoided bringing up the buzzword during its developer conference in June. This stands in stark contrast to other tech behemoths like Alphabet and Microsoft, who have taken calculated risks to implement the game-changing technology. After the revelation, shares of Microsoft, Nvidia, and Alphabet all decreased by more than 1%.

However, Apple has gently promoted advanced AI in some of its products, like Apple Photos, in-app chatting, and the most recent mixed-reality headset, Vision Pro. Analysts claim that the business is still lagging behind competitors in adopting the new technology. Siri, Apple's primary AI product, has likewise remained unchanged over time.

Several teams are reportedly involved in the most recent AI initiative, which is being directed by Apple's top software engineering executive, Craig Federighi, and John Giannandrea, the company's head of machine learning and AI.

Apple's new virtual assistant is used internally for product prototyping and summarises text and provides answers depending on data it has been taught with. Employees claim that the technology, which operates as a web application, effectively duplicates Bard, ChatGPT, and Bing AI. Despite not yet having a clear strategy for the tools it is creating, Apple intends to make a substantial statement about artificial intelligence (AI).
