Delhi : At its WWDC 2023 event, Apple already unveiled the new features and some information about the upcoming iOS17, which includes improvements to iMessage, the keyboard, certain AI functions, and new utility services like NameDrop. However, it will still be a few months before iOS 17 is made available to customers worldwide. In the meanwhile, iOS 16.6 will be the next iOS upgrade scheduled by Apple.

According to rumours, the corporation has already sent the upgrade to a small group of beta testers and has included certain important features. Additionally, the source implies that these capabilities will appear in iOS 16.6.

iMessage Contact Key Verification

Users would be able to verify that they are speaking with the intended receiver and not with an unauthorised third party who is covertly listening in on the conversation as one of the main safety features. For instance, communication will be possible if the feature is enabled by two or more users. In the event that there is a breach in the cloud servers, Apple will also issue a warning.

Beats Studio Buds Icons

According to speculations, the iOS 16.6 beta also has two more colour icons for Beats Studio Buds. The transparent and ivory colouring options for earphones would be represented by these symbols.

iCloud for Windows Prompt

If the iPhone and Windows devices are not connected to the same Wi-Fi, Apple may additionally add a new iCloud login question for Windows login attempts. It would put pressure on the idea that both devices must be connected to the same network in order to move on and suggest a different login network.

The company hasn't made any of these features publicly known, though, as of this writing. Prior to the release of iOS 17, it will be fascinating to watch if the features make it to the iPhones.
