Grab the Sony PS5 standard disc edition for a limited time at Rs 47,490

Delhi : The PlayStation 5 (PS5) console (regular disc edition only) will be offered for a brief period at Rs 47,490, according to a Monday announcement from Sony India. Customers will be able to take advantage of this discount price from August 24 through September 2, the business announced in a statement. Select shops, including Amazon, Flipkart, Shopatsc, Reliance, Croma, and Vijay Sales, would sell the PS5 for Rs 7,500 less.

Since the PS5's release, more than 40 million consoles have been sold to players, according to Jim Ryan, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, who made the announcement last month. The company announced in April of this year that it had shipped 6.3 million PS5 gaming systems in the March quarter alone, and had sold 38.4 million PS5 gaming consoles overall.

Additionally, 19.1 million PS5 were shipped by the corporation in the fiscal year 2022. The tech behemoth claimed to have sold more than 10 million PS5 units worldwide in July of last year, making it "the fastest-selling console in the history of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE)".

Sony had stated in July that the PS5 "Access controller" would be made available worldwide on December 6. By using multiple button and stick caps in different sizes and designs, users of the Access controller can customize their layout. They can also use the controller in any 360-degree orientation and attach third-party accessibility devices using the controller's four industry-standard 3.5mm extension connectors. Additionally, users will be able to collaborate with up to two DualSense wireless controllers and two Access controllers by pairing them.
