Delhi : Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has appointed cricketer Hardik Pandya as the brand ambassador for its Exter SUV. According to the firm, Pandya corresponds to Gen Z's desire to engage in outdoor activities, travel, and leisure. This week, the business posted a YouTube video to that effect."To epitomise the image of the new SUV, we could think of none other than Hardik Pandya, who has emerged as one of India's brightest stars in the recent history of the sport of cricket," said Tarun Garg, the company's chief operating officer.

Pandya has previously worked with over 12 companies, including Monster Energy Drink, Gulf Oil, William Lawson scotch, boAt, and FMCG major, Britannia. According to brand assessment firm Kroll, Hardik Pandya's brand value will be $34.8 in 2022. In absolute terms, celebrity brand values reached $1.6 billion in 2022, up from $1.4 billion in 2021. Kroll, a corporate investigative and risk consulting organisation, released a research titled "Celebrity Brand Valuation."

According to the 2016 Celebrity Brand Valuation Report, Embracing the Change, Bollywood stars accounted for 81.7% of the overall brand value for India's top 20 celebrities, with sports stars accounting for the remaining 18.3%. According to recent research, Bollywood stars now account for 67.6% of total brand value, with sports stars accounting for 28.9% and Tollywood stars accounting for 3.5%.
