Microsoft delays Surface Earbuds official launch date to 2020
New Delhi : Microsoft has announced the delay in official launch date of its much-awaited Surface Earbuds to the next year, to stay in the race with Apple's AirPods.
The earbuds were scheduled to launch in the last month of 2019; but now, they will be launched in spring 2020. The confirmation to the news has been given by the company's chief product officer Panos Panay on Twitter.
The Surface Earbuds are wireless like AirPods and were announced earlier this year. The Microsoft version has a circular shape, integrates with a voice assistant and can be used to control Microsoft software like PowerPoint.

Microsoft's Earbuds come with a price tag of $249, which is equal to the price tag of Apple's Airpods Pro. Google has also been working to upgrade its wireless earbuds. That product will also be missing this holiday season. The company is aiming for a release in the spring at a price of $179.
