Features and specifications of the Oppo A78 5G

The MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is built on TSMC's 7nm manufacturing process and only available in the 8GB+128GB storage+RAM configuration, powers the Oppo A78. The phone has a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 1TB of capacity, and Oppo will allow users to practically add another 8GB of RAM.

A 6.56-inch LCD screen with a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz is featured on the phone. To avoid eye fatigue, it also has an all-day AI Eye comfort feature. The Oppo A78 boasts a front-facing 8MP camera and a dual-camera system on the back that includes a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

Dual stereo speakers and a "extreme volume mode" are also included with the Oppo A78 5G, allowing users to increase speaker volume even further. The phone's 5,000mAh battery, which weighs only 188 grammes and supports 33W fast charging, can be fully charged in 60 minutes, according to Oppo. Blue and black are the only colours offered for the new Oppo phone. According to the manufacturer, the phone also has a Super Night Standby technology that analyses a user's sleep habits in order to keep nighttime battery use to just 2%.

Android 13-based ColorOS 13, which powers the A78 5G, is used. The most recent version of Oppo's ColorOS includes a number of new features, including a dedicated meeting assistant, multi-screen connect, upgrades to the default ColorOS launcher, and a new Dynamic Computing Engine that enhances battery life, prevents lag in the user interface, and enables users to run more apps in the background.
