What's new with Ampere Primus? Touchscreen and disk variants
Delhi : Recently Ampere's Chief Technology Officer Ram Rajappa revealed that the company is presently preparing to launch a disc brake version of the Ampere Primus electric scooter. Additionally, he said that the disc brake version would be released later in 2023.
Rajappa stated that the officials is presently looking into client feedback and reviews. Based on those, the EV manufacturer will upgrade the Primus with disc brakes as needed. He withheld the anticipated cost of that version, though. However, it might cost a little bit more than the Rs. 109,900 retail price for the existing drum-brake model.
By offering scooters in the private buyer and last-mile transportation sectors, Ampere said it hopes to reach both the B2C and B2B markets when it unveiled its product plan on Wednesday. Primus, Magnus EX, and Zeal EX are the three electric scooters that the business currently offers. However, the business plans to introduce a number of versions during this year thanks to an aggressive product strategy.
Rajappa continued by stating that there will be a completely geared product, which will include a touchscreen and a variety of connectivity choices, among other features, in addition to the other forthcoming products from the EV maker.
Sanjay Behl, the CEO of Ampere, also made a suggestion that the business is developing a completely geared electric scooter that would go on sale shortly. The EV manufacturing business, according to him, has been attempting to enter a number of sub-segments of the quickly expanding Indian electric bike market.
