Delhi : WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will enable you to use several WhatsApp accounts on one device after eventually enabling users to utilise a single account across two devices. This implies that you can quickly move between many accounts if you have them. According to a Wabetainfo source, this functionality is currently being developed for Android users. If WhatsApp decides to provide the functionality, Android users will get it first.

How to use the multi-account functionality

The first time you establish an additional account, it will be saved on your gadget. By logging in, you may change to this account whenever you wish. The software will remember your passwords for all of your accounts, allowing you to switch with a single press. It will display a menu with a selection of accounts from which you can select the one you wish to open.

Why the multi-account functionality is helpful

This capability is comparable to how you may switch between various Instagram profiles. It allows you to keep work-related and personal interactions distinct in the same app. This division protects your privacy and makes managing alerts easier. You no longer need to utilise multiple devices for various accounts.

Limitations and availability

The multi-account feature is currently being worked on and will be available for beta testing in a future app version. It was first seen on the Android version of WhatsApp for Business, although it's unclear if it will also be accessible through personal accounts.

The video messaging function of WhatsApp

There are rumours that WhatsApp plans to launch a new capability for sending video messages in addition to the multi-account functionality. You can record video messages for up to 60 seconds, just like voice notes. To use this function, hold down the microphone symbol until it turns into a video button, at which point you may record and send a video message.

The ability to utilise several accounts on a single device is a feature that WhatsApp is developing. By eliminating the need for additional devices, switching between accounts will be convenient. A new function for sending video messages may also be on the horizon. These features are still under development but will eventually be tested.
