Delhi : Users won't have to leave WhatsApp in order to share their status updates on Facebook Stories thanks to a new feature that the company is working on. Users' ability to share status updates across both Meta platforms is reportedly made easier by the addition. While WhatsApp users may now publish their status updates on Instagram, this function is not yet available on Facebook Stories.

Users could publish their status updates on Facebook Stories in the past, but they had to do so manually for each update. The process for a few status updates chosen by users will be automated by the new functionality, making it more convenient for them. Users will be able to link their Facebook accounts to the feature, which can be found in WhatsApp's Status Privacy setting.

If users want their status updates to be posted on Facebook Stories, they must enable it individually because it will be optional and disabled by default.

Because users won't have to manually share their status updates with Facebook Stories while using WhatsApp, this function is anticipated to save consumers time and effort. Both Android and iOS users will have access to the feature. Also, WhatsApp is apparently developing a new function called "audio chats" that will let users start audio chats during talks. A new waves icon in the chat header and a red button for discontinuing active calls are reportedly included in this update.

These new capabilities are in addition to the several others that WhatsApp has added over the past 12 months. In particular, in the face of competition from Telegram, the firm aims to keep its position as the leading messaging platform.
