20 dead as Al-Qaida attacks Burkina Faso hotel

  • Burkina Faso : Late Friday Al Qaida militants struck a high scale hotel and nearby café which are famous with Westerners in Burkina Faso's capital.

  • With unknown number of hostages many hid in place to save their lives amid gunfires and ranging explosions. 

  • With no official figure out, it is expected that at least 20 people have lost their lives in the deadly attack.

  • The local al-Qaida affiliate known as AQIM claimed responsibility online.

  • "Broke into a restaurant of one of the biggest hotels in the capital of Burkina Faso, and are now entrenched and the clashes are continuing with the enemies of the religion," they wrote on the online portal.

  • Few days back, explosions were heard in Indonesia’s Jakarta which had killed seven people.
