New Delhi : Nobel winner and economist Muhammad Yunus Is set to take the Prime Minister’s post in Bangladesh after former PM Sheikh Hasina flew out of the nation amid ongoing protests.

According to media reports, Yunus will return to Bangladesh and arrive at Hazrat Shahajalal International Airport in Dhaka on an emirate flight from Dubai at 2:10 PM.

It has also been mentioned that he is arriving back only to take up the significant role as a head of the interim government that will be leading Bangladesh for now. A meeting has been scheduled with President Mohammed Shahabuddin after his arrival.

The report also mentioned that oath-taking ceremony will be held today, evening, after his meeting with the president.

Meanwhile, an appeal has been made to the students, political group and others to stay calm and avoid violence. 

"Our youth is ready to give this leadership in creating a new world. Let us not miss the chance by going into any senseless violence. Violence is our enemy. Please don't create more enemies. Be calm and get ready to build the country. If we take the path of violence everything will be destroyed. Please stay calm. Help those around you to stay calm," Yunus Centre said.
