Coronavirus: PM Narendra Modi wishes speedy recovery to Russian counterpart
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday wished speedy recovery from coronavirus to his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin. He said, India stands with close friend Moscow in efforts to combat coronavirus.
"My best wishes to Russian PM Mishustin for early recovery and good health. We stand with our close friend Russia in efforts to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic," PM Modi wrote on Twitter.
On Thursday, Mishustin had announced that he has been tested positive for coronavirus.
He made the announcement during an online conference with President Vladimir Putin, reported Sputnik.
The Russian PM Mishustin urged people to take the coronavirus seriously and announced that he will be staying under self-isolation for the time being. His cabinet will continue to work and will stay in his touch.
